Gameplay Programmer

Hello and welcome to my portfolio. My name is Clément Pagnier and I'm a Gameplay Programmer. I'm currently on a fixed-term contract as a Junior Software Engineer at Virtuos Paris until the end of April 2025. I graduated from Rubika Supinfogame with a Master's degree in Gameplay Programming and Management, a program I started with a Bachelor's degree in Game Design and finished with a Master's degree in Game Programming. This training, coupled with my professional experience in video game studios, gives me a broad understanding of game mechanics, from their conception to their integration into the final product.

I've been passionate about game development since I was 14, when I taught myself how to program games on Unity.

As my studies progressed, I discovered all the aspects of producing a game in a development team. From a vague idea to concrete gameplay, my technical background, my knowledge of production and my love of game engines mean that I'm able to assist all the different departments throughout the production of a game.

 

My values in production are first and foremost attention to detail, proactivity and realism, but above all sharing, positivity, listening and open-mindedness. I love finding solutions, whether technical or human, to all the headaches that game production can throw at you. My greatest satisfaction comes from understanding and valuing the work of others, and anticipating and responding to their needs.

 

Apart from programming and video games, I'm passionate about electronic music. I founded and chaired “La Pyramide”, an association that organized techno events in the Lille area for 3 years.
Here too, I enjoy working as part of a team, and the satisfaction of working together towards a common goal is what I'm looking for and what keeps me going.
